‘Phoenix’
‘Phoenix Fairy’
by Hilda Miller (1876 – 1939 American)
The phoenix card reminds us about our ability to recreate, rebirth ourselves from the ashes of fatigue, of despair, of hurt. It also points to, that some things cannot be reborn until there is complete collapse, failure, disassembly, let go of the old, the tired, the worn. Sometimes only the utter incineration of our past, the known, the familiar, releases us to the new, bright and unknown future that wants to be born. This card also reassures that death carries the seed of life, that the end of things is the beginnings of others, that this change brings that change with all its brand new colors. This is a beautiful card about transformation, about the cycles of life, the regeneration of love, the rediscovery of goddess, and the curious mystery of being alive.
