To invite Joy into one’s life, is to invite the laughter of friends, the love of others, the warmth of gathering, the giving of gifts and more such things. Joy is a simple friend, sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, but an uncomplicated companion. If you ask her what to do so she can stay, in her straightforward way she may say, ‘Do what makes you happy, feel alive, opens your heart… but mostly, stop doing those things that don’t make you feel those ways!’
