‘Travel’

‘The Fairy Folk’
by Willy Pogany (1882 – 1955 Hungarian)

This card is about the nature of travel, of walkabout, of journey, of trek, of the caravanserai. Travel is movement, travel is change, travel is forward in all its ways. It is symbolic of our lives, beginning here, reaching there, steps one after another onward. Travel challenges us to see differently, to grow awareness, to experience depth, scale and greatness beyond ourselves. All travel is towards the unknown, a mystical wandering to we know not where, but forward all the same, and all to find our beginning is the destination, to arrive is to rediscover our home.

This card also comes with good blessings, good wishes for your journey, that good things may be discovered, that your time be rich, that fortune may smile upon you, and headwinds be not strong. May you journey well, with health and laughter, with a sense of adventure and store of energy, with purpose and preserverance, and that you may find companionship and camaraderie along the way.

“A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.” — Lao Tzu.
