‘Girl’

‘Girl in Meadow’
by Sybil Barham (1877 – 1950 British)

Girl child holds
promise of the future,
embodies her evolution
maturing into ever greater
expressions of herself.

May you watch over her,
keep her sheltered inside,
a sacred part of yourself,
an inner innocence of
magic and wonder.

Girl be with you,
sharing her fresh eyes,
young life, and surprises,
all the curiosities of
her life unfolding
