‘Edge’
‘The Fairies of the Serpentine’
by Arthur Rackam (1867 – 1939 English)
This card is about meetings of times, energies and change. It is about the edge of day at dawn, the flame of fire on earth, sky and air falling to water. The Edge card is about recognizing how things transform, change happens, when next to one another, interacting, the elements moving into each other, day giving herself to night, awakenedness to dream. There is a magic in the meetings of these times and places, where change is natural, transformation happens, beginnings and endings overlap. Stand by the river, look to the horizon, allow dream to color your waking life, and know change is eternal, life is temporal, that the new grows from the old. And know, you too are changing, evolving, transforming. May you embrace it to become that which you wish.
