Types of Human Fairies

In closing this recent series’ of posts about types of fairies based on elements, environment and specialties, I am going to add one final type – ‘Human Fairies’, also referred to as fairy people and fairy-humans or half-fairies. Each of these names describe a slightly different slant on the question, ‘What is a human fairy?. For instance ‘fairy-human’ or ‘half-fairy’ implies a being that is part fairy, part human, an offspring, a half-breed. The term ‘fairy people’ describes humans with fairy characteristics, such as being unusually attractive to animals, possessing an indescribable subtle beauty about them, or a natural talent with helping plants grow. Lastly, the term, ‘Human fairy’ is more descriptive of the natural endowments humans already have within the framework of being a human being. This post is primarily concerned with this last definition.

But first I will consider the ‘fairy-human’ description. There are a number of incarnations of fairy-humans, as offspring from either a male and female fairy, or occasionally from a female and male fairy, as a shapeshifting fairy assuming human form, as a changeling child raised by fairies and transitioning to a fairy, and other such mixed blood outcomes. Whatever the origin, fairy-humans walk between two worlds, easily able to live and wander the world of humans, but never quite totally home in their world, always somewhat of a misfit, and able to slip into the fairy realm, where they are more comfortable even though they are still half here, half there. They tend to have a magnetism about them, don’t feel the cold as much, have a soothing manner or work with healing in some way, are uniquely unique, and have dreams of the future and premonitions and similar psychic traits. There are also numerous other individual fairy-type characteristics they may have, a small amount of glamour, a playfulness or non-seriousness about them, mind-reading and such.

The understanding of a human fairy is based upon the inherent qualities of being a human. Every human incarnation shares the same elemental core, being from air, earth, water, fire and perhaps aether, the same as fairies. Therefore deep within every human is aligned with those elements in some unique pattern, the same as fairies. And lying dormant in that environment is the magic of fairies, abilities of perception, intuition, influence and other. A human fairy is a being where those latent talents become activated through some means. It may be a natural flowering, such as one starting to have dreams of surprising clarity or foretelling, just feeling exceptionally good sitting next to a wild garden, experiencing sharpened perceptions of peoples intentions and so forth. Other activations can be started by engagement with a fairy friend or guide. Maybe it is through touch, maybe channeling, maybe sleep, but whatever the method, it is like sunlight onto soil, their energy activates one’s latencies lying asleep within. Every journey in this budding realm is unique to the person. There is no roadmap.
Whatever the path, the slow evolution or metamorphasis of a human developing fairy sensitivities is not without cost or effect. One may become sensitive to electronic energies such as computers and kitchen appliances, or cell phones. One may develop a liking for certain musics, as nordic chants, or female vocals, or angelic frequencies for instance. Certain people may leave one’s life, and new ones appear with new lessons and interactions. Most probably one will start to feel the misfit effect that half-fairies experience. And one may start to seek out solitude and silence, as a solace or retreat, and may find nature to be exceedingly nourishing.

It is a sacred journey, with ecstasies alongside disorientation, aloneness alongside intimacies, awe alongside effort, and other such companions. But the sensitivities and awareness that is grown and experienced will not be abandoned, there is no going back, which would be like a plant wanting to ungrow. The human being is inherently sacred, and that sacredness becomes more and more pronounced as fairy sensitivities expand within. One becomes quieter as a subtle awe develops around them, a greater and greater awareness arises. One becomes more and more compassionate, feeling those around them in more and subtle ways. One gains a greater understanding of love, and is able to share that energy more gently and easily. These types of changes slowly remove one from the mainstream of life, due to incompatibilities, as one cannot meditate in a traffic jam.
And at some point, a quiet celebration starts to happen within, a joyousness begins to infuse oneself. And with that lightness, a greater understanding of the fae begins to surface, a little bit at a time, a deep appreciation of their energies, existence and incarnation. Each new understanding comes differently, as a whisper on the wind, a sensation of tingles, a simple ‘ah ha’ moment. Channeling may also happen, direct downloading of fairy energy and fairy wisdoms, a sharing of everything, oneself with another. Such is a ‘human fairy’, a person with enhanced sensitivities and awarenesses, a flowering in a sense, a beautiful evolution.
