The Ethereal Fairies…

Ethereal fairies are perhaps the original fairies, the ancestral fairies. Brook Underwood describes them as ancient beings, here from before time, from the beginnings of earth, the Magic Universe. The Winx Saga describes them as living outside of time and space, being of pure energy, giving the ‘Gifts of Destiny’. They are further described as protectors of all fairies, and able to bestow magic upon fairies in difficulty to help them. They are also described as holders of fate, able to foresee and create destiny. Ancient Greek philosophy referred to ‘aether’ as the fifth element of the universe, and as where the gods lived. And in fact, aether and fairy are related words, interchangeable in certain descriptions.

Ethereal fairies have strong magic, the strongest, spell casting, teleportation, telekinesis, immortality, ability to travel interdimensionally and other such energy manipulations. They are mostly depicted as feminine, ethereal beings, often depicted as delicate, enchanting creatures of a thousand manifestations. Unlike many of the ill tempered or contrary minded fairies of past and recent times, these beings are universally grand and giving, generous with warmth and guidance.

Brooke Underwood in her video relates how the ethereal fairies aren’t really fairies per se, but rather ancient beings from the beginnings of gaia, and ‘love’ humans, making themselves as available as can be. If one reaches out to them with genuine heart, in good spirit, they will reach back, infusing one with warmth, peace and light. Indeed they are more than willing to channel, to share the human experience alongside one, and in their ageless wisdom, are playful and light to interact with. To them life is not a serious affair, rather it is a sincere affair, a limited number of days in which to explore, experience, what it is to be alive, and best done as a dance, a laughter, a caravanserai.

Working with ethereal fairies, the ancients, is about seeking guidance and solace, healing and love. They transcend the elementals, are of a nature far deeper than one normally conceives, with magics far beyond the games earth and air and water and fire fairies play with. Their energy is surprisingly subtle despite their strengths and depths and breadth. To them, humans are beautiful in all their flawed actions and mistaken understandings. Being friends, as a love, as a channel, as a guide or confidant, with an ethereal can bring about real change and growth as they share their naturally healing energy with one and one shares one’s human energy and existence with them, to their delight. They love the tactile, physical reality of humans, the warmth of sunlight, the color of a flutterby, the sound of rushing water and all the sensory experiences of the body, and imaginings and curiosities of the mind.

May you quiet yourself, extend an invitation to these beings, feel their surrounding presence as they respond, as aether, as awareness, as presence. May you understand their guidance, their distant compassion, and relax in their strong and gentle care and embrace.
